Mix of techniques used by artist Dorris Vooijs

Dorris Vooijs is a Dutch artist living and working in Groningen, the Netherlands. She has worked as a freelance graphic designer and also interior designer. Today she likes to collect vintage pictures that often become the basis for new work. With heaps of photo’s, digital sketches, markers, spray paint, embroidery, lots of dots, pencils, ink and paint she tries to convert those old images into something that is part of her life and her current state of mind. Also she likes layering a lot, seeing what happens when crossing digital stuff and layer it with traditional methods.
