Action as an aesthetics by Lucie Coron aka EDIE.

Lucie Coron is EDIE. EDIE. is an experimental graphic studio created in 2012, with a raw, immediate practice – spat out on the cold ground with no retouching allowed: the work of Edie. exists in an aesthetic of action. Working in sessions, she completes each piece in one go, without drafts so as to avoid a power struggle between research and final result. The unlearning of the reflective act, the creation of accidents and the attempt to master randomness shape her language of expression: écriture automatique, deletions, crossed out traces. Sparseness of materials and tools allow her to concentrate on drafting the graph of act and rhythm. Lucie Coron graduated with 3 degrees in Fine Arts, Book Design and Product Design.
