Max Boufathal sculptures from accumulated things

French artist Max Boufathal was born in 1983 (Paris). He creates large sculptures of divinities, monsters, and objects of natural history. His artefacts are a mix of tribal art and consumerism with a very original style. Like in some cabinet of curiosities, Max Boufathal accumulates various things. All these objects become fancies, humanoids, strange dogs. This whole mess is like a mirror: it reflects the history of its imagination, with monsters, prodigies and faiths, all this getting organized around the most enigmatic of all creatures: man.
