Realistic detailed paper art by Julie VonDerVellen
Julie VonDerVellen is an artist, graphic designer, and instructor. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Graphic Design at Edgewood College and her Master of Fine Arts at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Julie VonDerVellen also is a lecturer at Carroll University in the Graphic Communications Department. She is a current resident artist at RedLine Milwaukee.
Julie actively shows her work nationwide and has held solo exhibitions at the Cameron Art Museum, Clarke University, Carroll University, and the Foundry Art Centre. She has participated extensively within group exhibitions at the Dishman Art Museum, Indiana University, High Point University, South Dakota University, Brand Library Art Galleries, and the Minnesota Center for Book Arts.
Julie has completed site-specific installations for the Make-A-Wish Foundation as well as the American Diabetes Association. Her work is in the artists’ books collections at the Kohler Art Library in Madison, Wisconsin and the University of North Texas Library.
