Hand lettering by Danielle Davis
Graphic designer Danielle Davis always had a fascination with words and the written form. She received her MFA from the Maryland Institute College of Art. Then she learned and developed her love of all things about hand lettering, typography and illustration. Even if she creates hand lettering, Danielle Davis is all digital, she sometimes use Photoshop for texturing, but it’s usually 90% Illustrator. She says she is getting into making fonts as well and just started learning FontLab. Among her type design inspiration are: Doyald Young, Seb Lester, Alison Carmichael, Herb Lubalin, and a bunch of others. Illustrators are: LabPartners, Eight Hour Day, Charlie Harper, Mary Blair… Danielle Davis clients list include Brothers & Co., Harper Collins, The Guardian, GQ Germany, Nickelodeon, SpotCo NYC…
