Melissa Haslam, narrative and romanticized paintings of beautiful females
Melissa Haslam is an Australian artist well known for her beautiful paintings of fairytale-like scenes. She says her influences include botanical drawings, the pre-raphaelites, japanese illustration and contemporary fashion photography. She graduated with a Bachelor of Computing (Multimedia Technology) from Deakin University in Melbourne and worked in computer graphics for a few years. Then she went back to school to study Visual Arts at RMIT, focusing on painting and drawing.
