Out of my window, by Gail Albert Halaban
Gail Albert Halaban is a photographer from New-York City who’s project “Out My Window” is a photographic book of city dwellers peering into their neighbors’ windows. In this series, she captures city landscapes where strangers are encapsulated in some intimate moments. While the photographs may be staged, it’s the real dynamics of human interaction that is a constant in our daily lives. Gail Albert Halaban’s pictures are formal studies in which architectural grids create syncopating, all-over visual rhythms. But you will easily notice that there are people in some of the apartments, they are not doing anything particular, no sex or violence but there is a true glimpse of some ordinary people’s intimacy. Finally we are all voyeurs. Represented by TRUE MGMT.
