Square succession and other series by Jie Liu

Jie Liu is a Chinese artist and photographer working in Munich, Germany. After studying sculpture in the Academy of Fine Arts in Xi’an, China, he studied fine arts from 2004 to 2011 at the school of Art and Design Kassel. In his current work, Jie Liu focuses on global non-places series. Those isolated places have no particular identity and are positioned like faceless and emotionless models. A digital manipulation mixes the idea of reality and simulation creating spaces without any human being.
