Science fiction art often focuses on technology’s spectacle. However, Metronovon takes a different path. This AI artist creates sophisticated visions that prioritize humanity over hardware.
A Poetic Approach to Space
Metronovon develops a contemplative style centered on existential questions. Moreover, this interrogative approach creates continuous philosophical meditation. As a result, viewers explore human condition within cosmic context.
What makes this unique? The artist crafts striking contrasts throughout their work. For instance, infinite spatial void meets intimate shared tables. Additionally, advanced technology coexists with ancestral gestures. This tension between cosmic grandeur and human intimacy defines most creations.

Humanist Science Fiction Vision
Unlike traditional sci-fi, Metronovon refuses technology versus humanity opposition. Instead, their vision suggests space exploration reveals our human essence. Furthermore, this approach creates profound emotional resonance.
The artist develops sublimated everyday aesthetics. Consequently, ordinary objects gain deeper meaning. A beverage machine becomes cultural continuity metaphor. Meanwhile, a lamp-lit desk evokes intimacy persisting through spatial immensity.
Literary and Philosophical Influences
Metronovon draws from refined literary science fiction. Their work echoes authors like Ursula K. Le Guin and Kim Stanley Robinson. Similarly, sociological and poetic space approaches shine through each piece.
Eastern philosophy influences appear prominently. The “Stillness Room” exemplifies technological meditation spaces. Additionally, Japanese aesthetics inspire the work. Mono no aware (ephemeral beauty) translates into futuristic spatial settings.

Beyond Pure Speculation
This artist transcends mere technological speculation. Instead, they explore emotional and philosophical dimensions of cosmic becoming. As a result, Metronovon creates science fiction of interiority alongside exploration.
Why does this matter? AI art rarely achieves such emotional depth. However, Metronovon proves artificial intelligence can create profound human connections. Their work demonstrates technology enhancing rather than replacing human experience.

Can you introduce yourself?
I’m metronovon — a Japan-born AI sci-fi artist creating serene, philosophical visions of post-human futures through speculative design, science, and poetry.
How long have you been using generative AI?
Since 2024. My main profession is graphic design, but AI art has become the core of my creative practice and a part of commissioned work.
What is your biggest source of inspiration currently?
The quiet beauty of imagined futures where technology and humanity coexist in harmony — a stillness that resonates with the values I grew up with in Japan. Even in a world flooded with unsettling news, I believe in the dignity of people and in our ability to create better futures. That’s why sharing those future visions as widely as possible feels like the key I can offer toward a more beautiful tomorrow. When a good vision is shared broadly, it begins to take shape in reality.
Which AI tools do you use?
Midjourney, Kling, Runway, Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, and custom GPT-based workflows. There’s no special “secret” — the key lies in the co-creative process itself. It’s like bouncing ideas off an intuitive partner, slowly shaping an inner world into tangible form.
Any advice for those who want to get started with AI art?
Choose a theme or subject you truly love. Tools will keep evolving, but if it’s something you’re deeply drawn to, it becomes the spine of your work and allows you to keep expressing your world over time. If it’s something you only feel obligated to make, you’ll eventually lose interest — but if it’s something you love, that passion will naturally inhabit your art.
